HMAS Albatross is the Royal Australian Navy's main Fleet Air Arm base and a significant local employer. The base and surrounding defence-industry contractors drive demand for general-freight inputs — office supplies, packaged parts, maintenance consumables and trade supply. Sydney is closer — about two hours south via the Princes Highway through Wollongong. Canberra is around two-and-a-half hours west. QFM defaults to Sydney-sourced pricing for Nowra and the Shoalhaven, though Canberra is viable for ACT-origin freight.

Shoalhaven residential builds, council infrastructure and commercial fit-outs across Nowra and the broader South Coast drive demand for timber, cladding, fixtures and packaged trade supply. QFM coordinates these as general-freight pallet and carton loads inbound primarily from Sydney.

Freight can be on-forwarded to Berry, Kiama, Ulladulla, Milton, Huskisson, Vincentia and Sanctuary Point through our carrier network — retail, trade and hospitality freight across the Shoalhaven and into the far south coast toward Batemans Bay.
