Exmouth is significantly more remote — around 1,260km north of Perth and a further four hours north of Carnarvon. It sits at the end of the Minilya–Exmouth Road off the North West Coastal Highway, so linehaul transit times are longer and service frequencies lower than mid-coast towns.
