Tom Price is one of the original Pilbara iron-ore townships, built around the Mount Tom Price operation. For freight, the town acts as a central-Pilbara commercial hub servicing mining contractors, workshops and townsite retailers. QFM manages the commercial pallet, crate and boxed inflows — mining-services consumables and camp goods rather than the ore itself.

Both corridors feed Tom Price. The long-haul path is Perth via the Great Northern Highway (multi-day), while coastal freight can route through Karratha or Port Hedland inland on Karijini Drive. QFM selects the corridor that best matches the carrier schedule and load type.

Yes — Paraburdoo is roughly 80km south of Tom Price. Freight for the Paraburdoo mine and townsite can be on-forwarded from Tom Price, and we also handle direct Paraburdoo loads on the same central-Pilbara corridor. Mining-services and camp supply form the bulk of the inflow.

Freight can be on-forwarded to Paraburdoo, Wickham (via coastal connection), Onslow access points and Karijini NP gateway sites through our carrier network — commercial, mining-services and remote-community supply across the central Pilbara catchment.
