Audio Freight Services

Audio freight splits into three operational profiles — touring production (high case count, tight load-in windows, east-coast circuit routing), venue install (fewer items, heavier cabinets, access-sensitive destinations) and studio moves (sensitive rack gear and monitors to commercial or residential addresses). QFM handles each differently. Flight-cased pallet and carton freight moves on scheduled linehaul through our carrier network; dedicated vehicle or air options pick up the urgent end of the tour calendar.

19" rack gear, line-array cabinets, subs and mixing consoles are orientation-sensitive, vibration-sensitive and typically high-value — flight cases do most of the protective work, but booking discipline (correct dimensions, stable pallet build, realistic venue access) does the rest. For touring routes between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, service level is driven by the load-in schedule, not just the origin and destination.

Touring, Install & Studio Audio Freight

A case list with dimensions, weights and fragility notes gets the most accurate quote. Tell us the origin and destination — warehouse, studio or venue — plus load-in windows and any stage-door or access constraints. QFM returns a service level matched to your schedule. Audio Freight Profile

  • Flight Cases & Rack Gear:19" rack amps, processors, consoles and outboard drawers move on pallet or carton freight with dimensions taken from the cased load — not the bare equipment. Pelican and anvil cases stack predictably; road cases with castors need orientation flags on the booking.
  • PA Cabinets & Line Arrays: Subs, tops and line-array elements are typically pallet-shipped in manufacturer skids. Total weight and height drive vehicle selection — semi or dedicated B-Double for full production rigs, tail-lift rigid for single-venue installs.
  • Venue Access & Load-In Windows: Stage doors, narrow laneways and upstairs venues are routine. We confirm vehicle type against venue access before dispatch and book hand-unload or tail-liftwhere forklift isn't available.
  • Touring Circuit Routing: Weekly Melbourne–Sydney–Brisbane moves sit against corridor-specific service levels — express road for next-day load-in, dedicated vehicle for same-day load-out / next-morning load-in, air freight for last-minute replacements.
